CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest begins on August 24, 2015 @ 12:00 PM (CT) and ends on October 16, 2015 @ 12:00PM (CT).

Open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older as of date of entry. Void wherever prohibited by law. Employees and elected officials of the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and giveaway agencies, and the immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce.

This giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. You are providing your information solely to the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce and its destination partners and not to Facebook. The information you provide will only be used to select winners for this giveaway and in the delivery of future promotional communications from the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce. HOW TO ENTER
To enter the Picture Yourself in Oneida County Photo Contest, complete an online entry form, available at www.oneidacountywi.com or by visiting the Oneida County Facebook page at www.facebook.com/OneidaCountyWI. "Liking" Oneida County on Facebook (Step 1) is an official contest requirement. If you do not have a Facebook account, enter the Contest by proceeding and completing Step 2 on the form.

You may enter the contest as many times as you want. No mechanically reproduced entries of any kind permitted. Incomplete entries are void. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected entries or entries not received. In the event of a dispute over who submitted an online entry, the entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail account identified on the online entry form, or by the authorized account holder of the Facebook account.

Judging Panel
Three finalists will be selected by a panel of judges during the contest period from among all eligible entries received. Sponsor's decisions are final on all matters. Images will be judged on the following criteria:

  • 50% - Creativity
  • 50% - Image quality

PRIZES AND JUDGING SCHEDULE
Finalists will be announced on or before October 5, 2015. The category grand-prize winner will be announced on or before October 31, 2015. Winners will be notified by e-mail only and have five business days to respond. If there is no response, an alternate potential prize winner will be selected and notified.

Among the three finalists one individual (the entry with the most fan votes) will be chosen as the grand prize winner. The grand prize winner will receive their choice of one of the three Oneida County getaways listed below:

Actual value will depend on items included in prize package by Sponsor.

No prize transfer, assignment, or substitution by winners is permitted. If a prize is unavailable, the sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to substitute the original prize (or that part of the prize) with an alternative prize to the equal monetary value and or/specification, unless to do so would be prohibited by law.

IMAGE ELIGIBILITY
Image files must be submitted in digital format. Only online entries submitted through the website will be eligible. No print or film submissions will be accepted for entry into this contest. Scanned image files are acceptable.

Photographs must display an image taken in Oneida County or the surrounding area. Photographs are eligible regardless of when they were taken (a photograph taken in 2014 is eligible to win, for instance). All submissions, including editing, must be a single work of original material created by the contestant. By entering the Contest, the contestant acknowledges that the submitted content is an original work created solely by the contestant, that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim, or interest in the photograph.

The photograph must not contain, as determined solely by the Sponsor, contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate content.

RELEASES
If the photograph contains any material or elements that are not owned by the entrant and/or which are subject to the rights of third parties, and/or if any persons appear in the photograph, the entrant is responsible for obtaining, prior to submission of the photograph, any and all releases and consents necessary to permit the exhibition and use of the photograph in the manner set forth in these Official Rules without additional compensation. If any person appearing in any photograph is under the age of majority in their state/province/territory of residence the signature of a parent or legal guardian is required on each release. Upon Sponsor's request, each entrant must be prepared to provide (within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of Sponsor's request) a signed release from all persons who appear in the photograph submitted, and/or from the owner of any material that appears in the photograph entry, authorizing Sponsor and its licensees ("Authorized Parties") to reproduce, distribute, display, and create derivative works of the entry in connection with the Contest and promotion of the Contest, in any media now or hereafter known. All releases must be in the form provided by Sponsor. Failure to provide such releases upon request may result in disqualification at any time during the Contest and selection of an alternate winner. Similarly, upon Sponsor's request, each entrant must be prepared to provide (within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of Sponsor's request) a signed written license from the copyright owner of any sculpture, artwork, or other copyrighted material that appears in the photograph entry, authorizing any Authorized Party to reproduce, distribute, display, and create derivative works of the entry in connection with the Contest and promotion of the Contest, in any media now or hereafter known. All releases must be in the form provided by Sponsor. Failure to provide such releases upon request may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Finally, upon Sponsor's request, each entrant must be prepared to provide (within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of Sponsor's request) a signed written license from the owner of any private property included in the photograph entry, authorizing any Authorized Party to reproduce, distribute, display, and create derivative works of the entry in connection with the Contest and promotion of the Contest, in any media now or hereafter known. All releases must be in the form provided by Sponsor. Failure to provide such releases upon request may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. For the purposes of these Official Rules, the entrant will be deemed to be in receipt of Sponsor's request or notification, (a) in the event that Sponsor sends the request by postal mail, five business days after the request was sent by Sponsor, or (b) in the event that Sponsor sends the request by email, on the day that the email was sent by Sponsor.

JUDGING CRITERIA
All accepted photographs will be evaluated by a panel of judges designated by Sponsor based on the judging criteria below. In the event of a tie, the tied entries will be re-submitted to the judges for a re-judging between the tied entries alone. In the event that a tie remains after re-judging, the entry with the highest score in the creativity criteria will be declared the winner. Finalists and winners will be notified by e-mail by the dates described above. Decisions of the judges are final and binding. Judging criteria:

  • Creativity (50%)
  • Photographic quality (50%)

The grand-prize winner will be determined by the finalist that receives the most fan votes.

VOTING PERIOD
Voting will be conducted online, through the Facebook application and the Contest website. The Voting Period starts on October 5, 2015, at 12:00 p.m. CT and ends on October 16, 2015, at 12:00 p.m. CT. Any attempt to vote more than the number of times authorized, using multiple names or e-mail addresses and/or any other fraudulent mechanism(s) including robotic, automatic, programmed or similar methods will give the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, the right to disqualify the Entrant's Submission.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Sponsor, its employees, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and Contest agencies are not liable for any losses, injuries, or damages of any kind resulting from acceptance of and/or participation in Contest. Acceptance of any prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use winner's name, voice, statements, image and likeness for purposes of advertising and trade, in any medium, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offering or the announcement of any prize or in the administration of the Contest, whether caused by computer, technical, or human error. Winner assumes all liability and agrees to release and hold Sponsor harmless for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this Contest or use or redemption of any prize. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, incomplete, illegible, faulty, or incorrect transmissions, incorrect announcements of any kind, technical hardware or software failures of any kind, any damage to any person's computer related to or resulting from participating in the online portion of the Contest, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission that may limit a user's ability to participate in the Contest whether caused by computer, technical or human error. All terms of Contest shall be construed according to, and any disputes shall be subject to, the laws of the State of Wisconsin. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest for any reason, including but not limited to, if fraud, misconduct or technical failures destroy the integrity of the Contest; or if a computer virus, bug, wireless failure, or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, or proper administration of the Contest as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify, freeze or prohibit the participation of an individual if fraud or tampering is suspected, or if the individual fails to comply with any requirement of participation or with any provision in these Official Rules.

RANDOM DRAWING
One (1) grand-prize winner will be selected by random drawing on or before October 31, 2015, from all eligible entries received. Decisions of the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce are final on all matters. The winner will be notified by e-mail only and has five (5) business days to respond. If there is no response within the required time period, an alternate potential winner will be selected and notified. Odds of winning will depend upon the number of eligible entries received.
